Brian Long Chairman of Association For Kidney Children, Leeds, England presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Jean Hobbs Hotz, President of Cystinosis Foundation, at the International Cystinosis Congress in Paris, France. The Congress was a collaboration of the Cystinosis Foundation and the French Association for Information and Research on Genetic Renal Diseases (AIRG). The Congress brought together families and professionals working in the field of cystinosis.

Professor Michel Broyer, from the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris was Chairman of the event.

The Association For Kidney Children is a charitable organization, under the leadership of Mr. Long, and has contributed heavily to cystinosis research in England.
